Updates, videos and gigs!
There's been a few developments in camp Tesseract:
We've just finished shooting a video which will be gracing TV sets very soon. We spent a very long and cold Sunday a couple of weeks back in East London in a very impressive and somewhat scary ancient building. We can't give away too much right now, but it's looking amazing!
We also have some shows to announce. We're kicking off the year at the Pitz in Milton Keynes on 12th March alongside Sylosis. We then have a weekender booked between 19th and 21st March which will visit High Wycombe, Alton and Brighton. Then we're heading out on the road for a while, visiting Russia, Poland, Germany and Switzerland (more dates on this tour will be announced shortly).
Oh, and the album is FINISHED!! We kid you not! We will have some news soon regarding a release so please bear with us.
Deception - Concealing Fate Part 2
We have a new track on February's Metal Hammer cover CD - Deception, Concealing Fate Part 2. You can also request the track on totalrock.com.
Check out the official video featuring the track and some photos from the past year:
End of year update
We realise it's been a while since we last gave you an update on where we're at, so here's a low-down:
- the album is all recorded, bar a weekend of vocals
- final mixes and mastering will happen very early in the new year
- a new track will be available in January
- tours are being booked for next year and we'll be announcing dates very shortly
- there is no official release date for 'One' yet, but again we'll have news on this very soon
It's taken a very long time to get to the point we're at now and we thank everyone for their patience and support. We're working very hard to make 'One' worth the wait. Musically, lyrically and from the point of production, we're hoping to create something fresh, something you're not used to hearing and ultimately, something you want to re-visit. It's been an epic journey for everyone involved and we can't wait to share this with you in 2010.
Mos, Dan and Jay go into a little more detail in TesseracT's Corrosion TV interview (click on 'videos' to find the interview).
Also, in between tracking, re-tracking, mixing and sleeping, we've found the time to put together a video featuring our best bits from 2009. Enjoy!
Merry xmas and see you in 2010.
TesseracT
New Vocalist, New Track & New Website!
We are very excited to announce Dan Tompkins as our new vocalist.Dan brings his huge vocal range, piercing screams and a seemingly endless deluge of infectious melodies and hooks to the table, adding a whole new dimension to the music.
Dan joined the band at the beginning of August and is relentlessly recording vocals for the our debut album, One. His debut performance will be at the HELLFIRE FESTIVAL this November at the Birmingham NEC. Following this the band will play a number of UK dates, including a mini tour with No Consequence (Basick).
Dan said “It's an incredible, exciting and rare privilege to be fronting TesseracT. The pieces fit and everything has fallen into place perfectly. It's been such a challenge to write vocals for such emotional and complex music, an opportunity of which I've waited so long for. I've pushed boundaries and I’m proud to say that the vocals on this album are the best I've ever written. It all sounds immense”
Mos said: “We knew from the first 20 second demo that he would be perfect. TesseracT is all about 3 things: experimentation, musical emotion and groove. Dan manages to stay true to all of those ideals, whilst still connecting the listener to the music on a human level. Everything he writes challenges us, surprises us and excites us.”
The November issue of Metal Hammer features the advance album track ‘Lament’ on its cover mount CD out now! This is the first track to be made available with Dan's vocals.
We've almost finished recording vocals for the album. Just a couple of songs to go then its mixing time!
Also the website has undergone a facelift and it is still under construction. The store is not available at the moment, but will be soon.
